Nothing made you happier than being with the kids on the hill up at Mondolach, picking on them, insulting them, picking a fight with them so they'd never forget that guy with the white hair running the chair lift.

That is unless it was being the host and conversation aggravator at the bar when you tended it. Or when you had that camera strapped around your neck knowing you'd show something in that photo that no one else could ever see. Didn't matter if it was a bridge, or the water, or a person. Stretch's view was different than anything anyone else would see. After you'd show it to them in your photos they'd say ok, now I see it. And you'd smugly chuckle under your breath.

Or when you were the painter unusual, "Hey buddy, couldn't you paint those stripes without having all that paint run?" they'd ask you...and you'd slam them back with "I did it so you'd notice it, and you did, so there!"

Oh Stretch , dear friend, you gave new definitions to the word stubborn that no one else could imagine. As you'd say, "but I like it!" You weren't able to go into a single bar or place in the Duluth /Superior area without some screaming "STRETCH" . From Mr. D's to the Main, or 3rd Rock you are so much a part of those places.

And on the flip side of all the sarcasm and insults , you put no limits on your willingness to help other people out.

Thoughts and prayers.....
